Open Diaries

MFO’s first social media campaign, #OpenDiaries, is a dialogue between stakeholders, such as consumers, and garment workers. Through posing questions gathered from the public and collecting workers’ responses, #OpenDiaries carefully and intentionally presents worker stories and their own calls for changeā€”from increased and punctually-paid wages to sick leave benefits. Through their own storytelling, GWD participants share with the world their perspectives from within a troubling garment industry. The images featured in this campaign were taken by workers, and shared with the team at MFO.
